The voice in your head is a lie.

If you don’t know your type read through each of the Internal Messages below and see if one sticks out to you. PAY ATTENTION TO STATEMENTS THAT MAKE YOU UNCOMFORTABLE. Self discovery is 1000% worth your time and energy but like anything worth doing… it’s not easy. So… if there is a statement that makes you squirm, pause, and ask yourself if this is a truth you believe about yourself. Each of us has an internal record player that says many things to us. One message you receive often is…

THIS IS THE INTERNAL MESSAGE OF EACH TYPE…

TYPE 1:

“If I do everything perfect and right, then I am good and okay.”

TYPE 2:

“If I am close to others and loved by them, then I am okay.”

TYPE 3:

“If I do something valuable or admirable, then I am okay.”

TYPE 4:

“If I am authentic and true to myself, then I am okay.”

TYPE 5:

“If I master a body of knowledge, then I am okay.”

TYPE 6:

“If I am completely prepared, have covered all the bases,

and done all that is expected of me, then I am okay.”

TYPE 7:

“When I get what my heart wants and desires, then I am okay.”

TYPE 8:

“As long as I am in control and remain tough, then I am okay.”

TYPE 9:

“If everyone around me is good and okay, then I am good and okay.”

THE INTERNAL MESSAGES ABOVE ARE NOT TRUE.  HERE'S A QUESTION YOU CAN ASK YOURSELF TO REMIND YOURSELF THAT THAT MESSAGE IS A LIE!  I TRULY HOPE THESE HELP YOU!

Questions to help you recognize that this message is false:

TYPE 1:

Who says it is perfect or right? Are there opposing views that could also be accurate?

TYPE 2:

Does your value and worth really depend on people loving and appreciating you?

TYPE 3:

How can you really know or measure how much others love or appreciate you?

TYPE 4:

Does being authentic have to mean holding on to old reactions and feelings?

TYPE 5:

Does this body of knowledge truly help you with your real needs in life?

TYPE 6:

Does your worrying and doing what's expected of you really work in making you feel
more secure?

TYPE 7:

Can you still be okay if a particular want is not being met? Can you find true contentment in ordinary moments and experiences?

TYPE 8:

Is your well-being really secured through your tough exterior and controlling intensity?

TYPE 9:

Is it truly possible to make others happy all the time?
